BASIC RULES
#1 RULE: Have fun! This tournament is unlike any other. It's a mardi gras. Don't take it too seriously. Party, hang with the friends and get some hits!
Tournament rules ASA with the following exceptions:
Homeruns-
Mens C/D and Coed- 4
Mens E and Coed- 2
COED Bracket
Coed will start in one bracket. Teams that lose 2 of their first three games will be dropped into a single elimination lower coed bracket.
Courtesy Runners-
1 per inning per team (anyone on the roster. However, a girl must
run for a girl and vice versa)
Bats-
Mens C/D- USSSA and ASA approved bats
Mens E and Coed- ASA approved bats
Roster limitations-
Players may not play both Men's C/D and Men's E. Players may
not play both Upper Coed and Lower Coed divisions. However,
players may play on one Men's team and one coed team,
Games will not be held if there is a conflict in game times. Bring
extra players. There are no guarantees!
Strikeout Rule-
Any strike out or foul out in any division will reward the opposing
team 1 run. A run will only count on a foul out if it happens on the
third strike.
The Count-
Every batter will start with a 1-1 count with a foul to give.
Check In-
You must have someone check in with your roster before Friday
night at 11:59 pm and final payment in full is due at this time. If
you do not pay your balance before your first game or turn in
your roster, that game maybe considered a forfeit. If you can not
have a representative at the field by 11:59 please make sure to
make arrangements with the tournament director.
Boneyard Blingo-
Teams will be given a list of goals to accomplish. Examples
include turning double plays, runs scored, runs allowed etc.
The first team to complete a Blingo card will win a grand prize.
Each team who completes the card will win a prize. An umpire
or volunteer must sign the card each time a challenge is accomplished.
Protests-
Protests must take place immediately following a play and before
the next pitch. Roster checks must be done before the start of
the 2nd inning or if a player enters a game after the 2nd inning,
immediately following the 1st pitch after the players enters the
game. Protests are $50. If the protest is upheld the the $50 will
be returned.
